My Experience Abroad

As a World Scholar at the University of Delaware, I had the privilege of developing and producing social media content and articles for TrulyAus, an Australian travel magazine that engages millions of customers monthly through various domestic airlines. My responsibilities encompassed researching and crafting articles on outdoor travel activities across Australia, as well as promoting Australian artisans and designers by facilitating connections with multiple companies and individuals through the Aussie Made section of TrulyAus. Additionally, I was responsible for designing the website layout and visuals for Aussie Made, while also highlighting dog-friendly travel destinations via their Instagram account, @trulyaussiedog.

 

My experience working abroad extended beyond professional development; it was a transformative journey that fundamentally altered my worldview and my understanding of my place within it. Immersing myself in a new country compelled me to step outside my comfort zone, navigate unfamiliar systems, and adapt to diverse cultural norms. This experience taught me the value of active listening, open-mindedness, and approaching differences with curiosity rather than judgment. Most importantly, it deepened my appreciation for our shared humanity, revealing the common aspirations, challenges, and dreams that unite us all. These insights have instilled in me a heightened sense of responsibility not only to my local community but also to the global community as a whole.
